A Tribute To My Tribe!

Friends will encourage you to do things that you never really thought of doing yourself. Especially, pursuing opportunities that come naturally to you. Or finally doing something that you always said you wanted to do but were always hesitant to do. Over the years, I have planned bachelorette parties, sleepovers, girls’ trips, cookouts, hosted house parties, and even hosted Sunday Brunches at my house that turned into dinner time and Uber rides home! And with each event, I strived to make sure everyone was having fun and felt catered to. It’s in my DNA! I enjoyed planning, sometimes stressed to make things perfect! For me, it’s all about the experience. And over all of these years, I never thought to myself – hey you can do this professionally.

Where did the idea come from? Well, it was a sunny day in Athens, Greece at The Acropolis, after 3 friends and myself had just enjoyed an amazing week in Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini that I planned from beginning to end! That last night in Athens the ladies looked at me and said “Diane you just need to make this official, you just planned an amazing trip!!!”. And the irony is – I was already hashtagging #sapphiredreams on our Instagram posts. Well, fast forward to May 2019 when I helped to plan a bachelorette night for a dear, close friend who is an award-winning wedding planner. And when it was all said and done – she looked at me and said, “You just need to make this official”. And so I took a leap of faith and made Sapphire Dreams a reality!

One thing I have realized about life is that it is the moments and memories that are created with friends and family that are never forgotten. There are so many moments in life that I often reflect on, laugh about, and mentally relive because of the imprint it left on my heart. I can honestly say – I have never had an unmemorable trip or one that I regretted.

I definitely have to thank my TRIBE for getting me to this point! What I have truly learned on this journey is that my tribe is an integral part of my success and motivation. Women have to support and uplift women, and the overwhelming amount of love and inspiration I have received from my tribe has been humbling and a sign of love overflowing.

What I hope to do with Sapphire Dreams is to inspire and ignite happiness and create memories amongst women and their tribe! Create moments amongst friends and/or family that will never be forgotten. Often professional women do not have time to plan or create these moments, yet they all long to hang with their girls! WE NEED OUR GIRLS! We need girl talk! We need mimosas! We need shots!!! We need laughs and tears! But our biggest excuse is “I don’t have the time”. I do not want that to be an excuse anymore!

Do you love your girl time as much as I love mine? I don’t know where I would be without my TRIBE!
